Unlike the monk story and a bunch of others, this actually happened, on June 23rd, 2026, at 12:32PM.
Audio removed because it contained cursing.
A bunch of us was sitting outside our building eating lunch, along comes a mother duck and her five ducklings. We all went aww, so cute. Then we noticed a couple of crows stalking the family. Eventually they get more and more bold and the mama duck nervously leads her children away. All parties involves saw the inevitable. Crows, ducks, human.
One of us went "Are we just going to go all National Geographic and let the two slowest ducklings get eaten?"
Another good natured one of us, answered that question with action, and charged the crows to scare them away.
A few minutes later, just as the humans started feeling pretty good about themselves and their brave, honorable ways, the crows came back with a murder of about 30.
At this point I will refrain from continuing the story and let the reader contemplate what happened next and the implications of our actions.
Not our proudest moment as humans.
When supposedly The edge we had over other living things is our intelligence.
